Our Commitment to Quality

We stand behind the technical integrity of our eBooks. If your purchased eBook file is corrupted or cannot open, we will provide a replacement file or issue a refund. However, please read this policy carefully to understand what qualifies for a refund.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are only provided when there is a verifiable technical flaw with the eBook that prevents you from using the product as intended. Eligible reasons for refund include:

  • File Does Not Open: The eBook file cannot be opened in standard PDF or DOCX readers
  • Corrupted File: The file is corrupted or damaged and cannot be accessed

What Does NOT Qualify for Refund

The following are NOT valid reasons for requesting a refund:

  • Missing Content: Significant portions of content missing or incomplete information does not qualify for refund
  • Formatting Errors: Critical formatting issues or display problems do not qualify for refund
  • Incompatibility Issues: File incompatibility with your device or software does not qualify for refund
  • Typos and Spelling Errors: Minor typographical or spelling mistakes do not qualify for refund
  • Factual Inaccuracies: Outdated or incorrect information is not grounds for refund
  • Content Dissatisfaction: Changing your mind about the content or quality of information
  • Personal Preference: Not liking the writing style, tone, or approach
  • Accidental Purchase: Purchasing the wrong item (your responsibility to verify before purchase)
  • Technical Issues on Your End: Problems with your device, software, or internet connection

Refund Request Process

If you believe your eBook file is corrupted or cannot open, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us First: Email us with your transaction ID and a detailed description of the issue
  2. Provide Evidence: Include screenshots or specific error messages showing the file cannot open
  3. We Will Verify: We will test the file and confirm the technical issue
  4. Replacement Attempt: We will provide you with a replacement file to resolve the issue
  5. Refund Issuance: If the replacement file also fails, we will issue a refund
  6. Refund Timeframe: Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-7 business days

Verification Process

When you request a refund, we will:

  • Verify that the file is genuinely corrupted or inaccessible
  • Test the file to confirm it cannot be opened
  • Attempt to provide a working replacement file first
  • Review your purchase and account history

One Refund Per Item Policy

Each eBook can only be refunded once per customer. We will always attempt to provide a working replacement file before issuing a refund. If a working replacement cannot be provided, the refund will be issued and you will lose access to the file.


Contacting Support

If your eBook file cannot open or is corrupted, please contact our support team with:

  • Your transaction ID (from your PayPal receipt)
  • Your first and last name
  • The eBook title and item ID
  • A detailed description of the error (file won't open, corrupted, etc.)
  • Screenshots or exact error messages you receive
  • The device/operating system and software you're using to open the file

Policy Changes

British Travel Guides reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our website constitutes your acceptance of the updated refund policy.

Important: Refunds are only issued for corrupted or unopenable files. Missing content, formatting issues, typos, incorrect information, and incompatibility with your device do not qualify. Due to the nature of digital content, all refund requests must be made within 24 hours of download / purchase.
